About the Project

BetPlay had positioned itself as a “lightning fast” crypto gambling destination: it combined a modern SPA frontend with a backend of game-provider integrations (slots, RNG, live dealers), a sportsbook odds engine, a poker room and a crypto wallet/payment layer that accepted BTC and stablecoins. Product emphasis was on fast payouts, a broad game catalogue, promotional funnels and experiments that fused media (TV broadcasts) with live betting interactions in partnership with third parties. Independent reviews and industry writeups described it as a full-stack crypto casino that prioritized payments UX and fast withdrawals as competitive differentiators.

Challenges in Development

Payment rails & on/off-ramps

Supporting on-chain crypto, Lightning deposits and fiat on/off-ramps created reconciliation, volatility and settlement complexity.

Fraud, bonus abuse & collusion

Detecting coordinated abuse (bonus exploitation, collusion in poker) while avoiding false positives was operationally demanding.

Low-latency live betting & broadcast integration

Delivering TV-synced betting and reliable in-play odds required deterministic latencies and robust risk/settlement controls.

Solutions: Our software agency provided

We delivered a payments orchestration layer that used rail selection and Lightning adapters so deposit and withdrawal latencies fell dramatically while settlement remained auditable. We added a compliance policy engine and staged KYC flows so only eligible players reached wagering stages. We built behavioral-driven fraud and collusion detection to cut abuse while preserving legitimate play. Finally, we engineered a low-latency live-betting fabric and a provider adapter hub so TV-synced and in-play markets operated reliably during high-traffic events.

BetPlay offered a wide catalogue of slot and RNG table games from third-party providers plus proprietary “Originals.”

The sportsbook covered dozens of sports — with live (in-play) markets and special event markets — and they launched TV-integrated live betting experiments.

3. Crypto-first Payments (Lightning / USDT)

The platform supported multiple cryptocurrencies and emphasized fast deposits/withdrawals (including Bitcoin Lightning where supported) to reduce friction.

4. Live Dealer & Poker Rooms

BetPlay ran live-dealer tables and a poker room with tournaments and series, increasing cross-product engagement.

5. Promotions & VIP / Bonus Engine

They used welcome bonuses, reloads and VIP mechanics to incentivize deposits and retention, plus frequent time-limited tournaments.

The solution improved user engagement, and a pilot adoption rate exceeding expectations.

Results — Liquidity Performance & Operational Outcomes

After the engagement, deposit success rates improved by roughly 60% and average deposit-to-credit time dropped from tens of minutes to just a few minutes, which materially reduced payment friction. Withdrawal turnaround shortened substantially (hours rather than days), and progressive KYC cut time-to-activation by about two-thirds, increasing the pool of eligible players. Monthly active players and first-time deposit conversion both rose (nearly half more MAP and roughly one-third better visit→deposit conversion) as stability, payouts and promo clarity improved. Fraud and bonus-abuse losses declined by more than half and payment/KYC support tickets fell significantly, lowering ops cost. Collectively these changes lifted net gaming revenue in the measurement window (mid-double-digit uplift) and improved player trust and retention.
